- puts the power of Email into the hands of the Recipient, not the Sender!

Email Services built on older technology cannot totally block unwanted emails!
If they could, you wouldn't be having the Spam problem, now Would You?

There are many "traditional" approaches to avoiding spam.
The most common approach is to block known sender addresses. This works partially, since many spammers are thought to send emails from well known webmail providers like Yahoo Mail or Hotmail.
But this is a moving target - because spammers change their email addresses and IP addresses every day!

Another approach relies on filtering of some special characteristics normally found on Spam mail:
- lack of a "From:" line,
- some common subjects like Viagra, or these.
Again, this method fails because many Spam mails contain no detectable elements.

Filtering is still filtering. It's not a Block, like has.

is new technology that is different than any other mail server.
You, the Mailbox Owner, can now choose who sends you emails - and all others are blocked!
ASKmail works with standard internet POP3 accounts that allow for User Authentication. It does not currently work with web-based email systems such as HotMail, Juno or Yahoo nor with MSN or AOL's proprietary email systems. If you are using any of the above, you should upgrade to ASKmail..
