To: 1USA Subscribers

The purpose of this 1USA Alert is to get you to think ...  (use that gray matter between your ears) ... before volunteering ANY personal information via Email.

From the fake eBay scams to the fake PayPal scams --- there will ALWAYS be threats to your security.
1USA teaches its customers to use that "gray matter" between their ears, and to spot these email scams and report them to us.

In the sample below, the email APPEARS to come from www.c2uit.com, owned by CitiBank,
but if you click on Properties > Details then View the html Source Code of the email, you will see that the Form goes to an IP address of
211.193.190.42 which does not belong to CitiBank.

CitiBank is investigating and their Security Manager says they will attempt to track down the thieves and prosecute them, however that will be hard to do because it is SO EASY for Spammers to hide their tracks.

Please....
 - NEVER answer a spam.
 - NEVER reply and ask to be removed from their Lists.
 - ONLY click on the delete button and delete their emails.  If you are using 1USA's ASKMail service, click on the button to add the sender to your IgnoreList.

Additionally, take the time to teach all family members or fellow employees how to spot a Scam.

Since companies themselves are slow to admit that they have been attacked, hacked or cracked, in fear they will lose customers, it is up to the rest of us to inform others of particular instances.

Spammers continue to subvert all the Goodness of most people.  Spammers and Thieves will stop at NOTHING to part you from your money or your reputation (There are more than 200,000 cases of Identity Theft recently.)
All we can really do is Pass The Word and warn our friends.

Any Email Address can be faked.
Any IP Address can be faked.  (
http://www.completewhois.com/hijacked/)
and they will continue doing it!  The problem will not go away in our lifetime, no matter how hard we try.
All we can do is educate ourselves, keep our eyes open, and pity those who fall prey to scams.
