Choose which level of Privacy you want between multiple email accounts setup on one computer.

How to setup multiple Email Accounts:

Question: >>The problem I have now is that I do not know how to use it . How do I use a second address for sending and receiving e-mail?

    Answer:
1USA supports various setups for sending & receiving email.

    1. The easiest way is to goto the
http://www.1usa.com home page and click on the Email link in the upper right corner.
This is called WebMail. Webmail services are when you log into the mail server. When you log in with your email address & password, it displays your In-Box.
Composing a new email will open a new window. If you have Pop-up Blocker software installed on your computer, disable it for this website.

    2. To open Email in other software:
On 1USA, you can use any email software you desire.
1USA Tech Support staff provides full Tech Support for Microsoft's Outlook Express software, which is installed onto every PC. If you're using a Macintosh or other Apple computer, you can download Outlook Express from www.microsoft.com/download/

Before setting up the Email account in any software, you need to decide if you want privacy between multiple email accounts.
If you dont, then simply setup the account per this instruction:
    http://www.1usa.com/tech/outlookexpress.html

If you do need privacy between the email accounts, then you need to choose what level of privacy.

    (1) Strongest
Windows XP has User Profiles. When you turn on the computer, you should already have a Profile for System Administrator and a separate profile for each person using the computer, AND a profile for Visitor.
ONLY the Administrator account should have the ability to Add-Remove programs on the computer. ONLY the Administrator should be allowed to install Software Updates. As such, you need to be logged in as Administrator when installing or upgrading software.
The other User Profiles each get their own Desktop Background, Icons on the desktop, and separate Email settings.
The purpose of the Visitor account is to prevent visitors from installing Instant Messenger or other chat programs, and infecting your computer with viruses.
To view all the possibilities and how to restrict Permissions on Windows XP, click on Start > Help > and type in the word Profile.

The nice thing about Profiles, even if you are the only person who uses the computer... You can have an Administrator Profile and a Surfing Profile.
When you log in as the Surfing profile, you will be able to visit websites without the fear of catching viruses or having those websites install Active-X programs or .DLL System extensions without your permission.

Once the computer has multiple profiles, log into a profile, then setup the Email account per this instruction:
    http://www.1usa.com/tech/outlookexpress.html

    (2) Middle of the Road: Identity in Outlook Express
If everyone logs into the computer under the same Profile, you can setup a password-protected Identity in Outlook Express.
Click on File > Identities > Add New Identity ... and choose an Identity Name and assign a password.
(Write your passwords on the back of an envelope and tape to the underside of your keyboard) If you ever lose the password, you're sunk.
Once the new identity is created, setup the new account per this instruction:
    http://www.1usa.com/tech/outlookexpress.html

    (3) No privacy between the email accounts:
Simply open Outlook Epress and setup the new email account per this instruction:
    http://www.1usa.com/tech/outlookexpress.html

Result: This setup will bring all emails into the same In-Box. When you go to send an email out, it will display the first account name and give you a pull-down arrow in the From line to select the 2nd identity.

    (4) Server-Side Alias:
1USA is very powerful. We have the ability to map multiple email addresses to your email account.
Let's say your primary email address is Joe@YourCompany.Com . Let's say you print a newspaper advertisement and wish to use Info@YourCompany.Com , HolidaySpecial@YourCompany.Com or some other "temporary" email address -- in order to quantify the results of a sales promotion.
We can map that other email address to your regular mailbox. When emails come in to that other email address, they will automagically appear in the mailbox for Joe@YourCompany.Com

    What are customers saying...

... thank you again. It is heartening to find good customer service, ...I commend you for your patience and willingness to help, and I appreciate the fact that you didn't "talk down" to a non-techie.
